missions

As a church, we are committed to missional living.  At the heart of missions is an active concern for the underserved, the forgotten, and those who do not know Jesus.  We desire to demonstrate the compassion of Jesus and the life-transforming work of God both locally and globally.  Missions includes all forms of outreach, evangelism and compassionate ministries.

Globally, we support Nazarene Missions International, including nearly 700 full-time missionaries serving through various Nazarene ministries.  Information, giving opportunities, prayer involvement and short-term missions trips are offered to our congregation to connect them to what is happening around the world.

We have partnered with Nazarene missionaries in Papua New Guinea, a third-world country in the South Pacific, to offer our prayer support and financial assistance.  Our 17-member team completely refurbished a missionary couple's home in the summer of 2016.  Two teams--18 in the first team and 20 in the second--returned to PNG in 2018 to help renovate the building that housed the school for missionary children.  We plan to go back again in 2020/2021.

We support the ministry of Samaritan's Purse by participating in Operation Christmas Child.  Hundreds of shoe boxes filled with toys, hygiene items and school supplies along with the shipping costs are donated so that boys and girls around the world will receive a gift and hear the good news of Jesus Christ!

Locally. our mission work includes things like:

  • ForXenia.com projects and donations
  • Support of homeless shelter
  • Involvement in community meals
  • Shoes4theShoeless events
