Welcome to the Xenia Nazarene Worship & Music Ministry.

All of the branches of this department work together toward one purpose: That all people will have passionate times of worship of Jesus Christ.  This purpose has two goals: that we will minister to the heart of God through our praise, and that our we will lead others to give praise to Him.  In effect – we want to minister to God and minister to people.

Music is a great tool that brings people from all walks of life to a place of common ground.   Music has the unique ability to touch the deepest and remote places of our being.  Whether we are experiencing times of joy or great pain in our lives – there is always a song that can speak directly to where we are.

Working within these realities, Xenia Nazarene strives for excellence in its presentation of the fine arts in ministry.  Our worship choir, front line singers, and rhythm band are good – really good!  They take their ministry seriously and work hard living out the scripture of Colossians 3:23.  But these people who are seen up front are only part of the team.  Behind the scenes we have many people who serve in technical areas such as sound, lighting, computer graphics, camera crew, stage set up and tear down, scenery changes, and creative video work.  We will, from time to time, use live drama to emphasize the truths of scripture and apply it to our lives.  All of these people are normal every day people with jobs and families who give greatly of their time and talent to bring glory to God, and to minister to our lives.

For newcomers to the church – we are always interested in adding your gifts and talents to these ministries.  We believe that each believer has a gift to offer to the Lord.  If your gift is in the area of music, technology, or the creative/theatrical arts, you may inquire about serving in these ministries by requesting information here.
