But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
and all these things will be provided for you.
Mathew 6:33
Welcome!!! Thanks for visiting our website! My name is Kyle Lanham and this is my wife, Stephanie. I’m the youth pastor here at Xenia Nazarene. I wanted to let you know a little bit about the youth program. We have all kinds of events where you can socialize and fellowship with your friends. However, our youth group is more than just a social club. We are dedicated to growing closer to Christ and making a difference in the community of Xenia.

Sunday Mornings
At 9 am on Sunday mornings, all of the teens meet together in the MMC (school gym) for some breakfast and hang-out time. At 9:30 am, the junior high and senior high students separate for Sunday School and Teen Quizzing. After Sunday School, we all go to the 10:45 am service together.
Sunday Afternoons
From 4-6 pm on Sunday afternoons, we have a sports program for all community teens in Grades 7-12 called S.P.O.R.T.S. (Supplying Positive OutReach Through Sports). This program takes place during the school year in the gym. Each sport runs approximately eight weeks and is led by a great group of nurturing adults.
Sunday Nights
On Sunday nights, all the teens gather at our house from 6–7:30 pm for “Foundations.” We have a devotional and our band plays from time to time. And, of course, we leave some time for the youth group to be together and hang out.
Wednesday Nights
On Wednesday nights, the youth meet from 6:30-8 pm in the gym across the road from the church for “The Chiller.” This is basically a hang-out time where the teens can chill and enjoy each other’s company. We have ping pong, pool, basketball, dodge ball, music, and some kind of beverage for the teens. Somewhere in the middle of all this we gather together for a 20-30 minute devotional time.
Special Events
We also do several other events. My wife has Chick-flick Nights for the girls. I have Guys’ Nights for the guys. We’ve taken the youth group to Tom’s Corn Maze. That was a blast! We often take the youth group to concerts and many other special events such as: bowling, skating, skiing, lock-ins, putt putt, etc... This is just a short list of some of the activities that we have done or plan to do.
